Brian’s Blog

I’ve been meaning to start up a blog for quite sometime now. I’ve had a few, off and on, chronicling my daily life… but I always find out how monotonous my life really is and I eventually close it and delete all entries.

This blog will be less routine and will only be updated periodically. Although if you know me… it’ll be updated amazingly often in the beginning and then taper off incredibly. But, I am hopeful about this one’s longevity.

I want to write about interesting events/observations and then tag on a smattering of reviews of various purchases, restaurants, bars, etc… basically so I can randomly end up in search results and hopefully build a bigger following? A little lofty, I know, but I’m always optimistic in the beginning.

Another reason for starting this blog? I short-circuited my keyboard a few days ago and was unable to respond to e-mails, facebook comments…I could only do things with my mouse! And now that I have a fresh new keyboard that makes soothing sounds when I hit the keys, I couldn’t resist typing away on it (and overcompensating for my keyboard-less days). Upcoming review?? Obviously.. oh, and I didn’t just buy a new keyboard, I bought a brand new computer to go along with it!

Upcoming topics (this is more of a reminder for me than a preview for you, so don’t expect all these things to arise):

Reviews: my cave (a.k.a. my apartment), my new iMac, Uchi, Pangaea, Qua (a.k.a. Cougar Quarry). Ooh! I’m gonna review TV shows. I’m watching so freaking many right now that I might as well find someway to do something half-productive with them.

Events: Dallas, Houston, Reunion in Austin, *Amsterdam*

Fun fact from my Astronomy class: Right now, our Milky Way is flying through the Universe at 600 km/s.
